Admit that you have gone astray (sinned) and you need to be born again, agree with God's Word that:
Rom for all (including me) have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
1 John 1:9 if we (I) confess our (my) sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us (me) our (my) sins and to cleanse us (me) from all unrighteousness.
1 John if we (I) say that we (I) have not sinned, we (I) make Him a liar, and His word is not in us (me).
John 3:1-7 there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him." Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?" Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God."That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. "Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'
Believe on Jesus
Acts -31 at Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were loosed. And the keeper of the prison, awaking from sleep and seeing the prison doors open, supposing the prisoners had fled, drew his sword and was about to kill himself. But Paul called with a loud voice, saying, "Do yourself no harm, for we are all here." Acts Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. And he brought them out and said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" So they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."
Rom For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame."
Confess Jesus as Lord (Master)
1 John says, whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God; God abides in him, and he in God.
Rom 10:9 says that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
Rom for there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.
Rom for "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved."
